CHRIS LAW

Performer

Born and raised in the DMV metropolitan area, Ama and Chris Law are co-directors of Project ChArma and have been dancing together since high school. The Law's credit their movement background to organizations such as Kankouran West African Dance Company, Broadway Dance Center, Culture Shock Washington DC Dance Troupe, and The University of Maryland Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies Department. After receiving their M.F.As in Dance, they taught hip hop, African dance, and dance history classes at American University, University of Maryland- College Park, and Howard County Community College. Both artists have extensive training in hip hop and modern dance and pride themselves in creating work that inspires dialogue for the purpose of bringing social, political, and economic change to their surrounding community. Further teaching credits include Dance Place DC, and Howard University Washington DC.
